Description: The Sutherland Division of Mental Health is an innovative and dynamic service that takes a multi-disciplinary approach to the planning and provision of quality mental health care to the Sutherland Shire. The Division of Mental Health values the opinions of its staff, and consultation with them is a cornerstone of its philosophy. Services within the Division include:
- Psychiatry Unit (8 Beds) - offers secure, supervised care, when community treatment is not possible.
- Access Team - provides a comprehensive assessment and referral service
- Acute Community Treatment Team (ACTT) - offers a 24-hour crisis and emergency assessment service and an alternative to hospitalisation for people in the acute phase of illness.
- Specific Treatment And Rehabilitation Team (START) & Continued And Extended Care Team (CONNECT) -provide treatment and support to people with a range of mental health problems.

Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm

Eligibility: From 17 years.

Description: The Diversity Health Co-ordinator advocates for services at the Hospital and Community Health Services to be accessible and appropriate for clients and patients of culturally, linguistically and religiously diverse backgrounds.

Description: Kareena Private Hospital is a 128 bed facility servicing the doctors and patients of the Sutherland Shire and surrounding areas. We are conveniently located opposite Sutherland Public Hospital. Orthopaedics, obstetrics & gynaecology, gastroenterology, ENT, facio-maxillary, urology, plastics, vascular surgery, cardiac medicine, angiography suite, respiratory medicine, general medicine, general surgery, ophthalmology, coronary care unit, day surgery.
